Ritu made her debut theatrical film appearance as herself in Aankhen in 1993, starring Govinda, Chunky Pandey, and Raj Babbar. It was the highest-grossing film of the year making more than ₹25 crore (US$7.95 million). In 2016, she was cast in her first TV show as Dr Sunny in 24: India.
