Panic! At The Disco Unveils Human Rights Foundation

“I want to join in on the fight for those who cannot fight for themselves.”

Since the beginning of it all, Panic! At The Disco has always been remarkably compassionate and accepting.

One of their most famous songs, “Girls/Girls/Boys,” has become a beautifully striking LGBTQ+ anthem. When the song is performed on stage, fans often hold up lights or hearts of all colors, and Brendon always holds up a rainbow flag if one is offered to him.

The director’s cut music video even went as far as showing two women touching Brendon, then moving away to kiss each other.

To continue their tradition of loving, welcoming, and accepting everyone, the band has taken another step forward by starting a foundation entitled ‘Highest Hopes.’ The name comes from “High Hopes,” a song on their latest album, Pray For The Wicked. Not too long ago, Panic! released a statement regarding what he would like to achieve.

In Brendon’s own words, the foundation was “created to support the efforts of non-profit organizations that lead, develop, and advocate support for human rights.” To get the ball rolling, Panic! announced on Twitter that they would be donating $1 from every US “Pray For The Wicked” tour ticket they sell.

All of you show me strength, courage + motivation & as a result it felt important to create something to show you that I see the wonderful things you're doing out there in the world. With that being said, I want to join in on the fight for those who cannot fight for themselves.
